Manifesting 101:

Copyright Internship

During my internship at Shop EVOLVE, a Richmond local online clothing brand dedicated to changing the beauty standards of the fashion industry, I wrote a weekly blog and most copyright material for the company. It was an amazing opportunity to develop my writing skills, and learn how to balance the brands voice, and my personal voice as a writer. I also ran the companies Pinterest account where I learned about content management and SEO development, however, the blog was my main responsibility. Unfortunately, Shop EVOLVE no longer exists, so I do not have the direct link to my posts on the company website, but I do have access to all of the content I wrote and saved.

This is a how to blog post I wrote about manifestation when the topic was very relevant in 2021. Manifestation is, “the materialization of a thought or belief based on the idea that our mind can create any reality we want.” It is a powerful tool, and aligns with the type of content EVOLVE shared. I wrote lots of pieces on self-improvement and self-empowerment during my time at EVOLVE, but this was one of my favorite pieces.

“I do not chase I attract, all that belongs to me will find me, I am limitless!”

— Ela Singleton for Shop EVOLVE

At the end of the piece, I shared affirmations that the readers could use when beginning the manifestation process. Simply put, saying affirmations to yourself is the practice of positive thinking, and can be helpful when manifesting. The affirmation above is one that I shared in this blog post, and one that I use in my own life. The key to affirmations is truly believing what you are saying, and saying it as if it were already happening.

I really connected to this blog post, and felt motivated to write it so others could be informed about how manifestation can change your reality. My time at EVOLVE taught me many valuable lessons about balancing my voice as a writer, and the voice of the brand. It is almost like when I was writing these posts I personified EVOLVE and became her to really capture that voice.
