Hi I’m Éla Singleton and I am the designer behind Éla Studios.

My love of fashion covers the entire industry. Creative directing, styling, and photography are some of my specialities, but my true love is design. About three years ago I received a sewing machine for Christmas, and taught myself the fundamentals of design. My grandmother had taught me some sewing skills when I was young, but the rest was up to me.

During my education studying Fashion Merchandising at VCU I learned about the environmental issues caused by the fashion industry, and I knew I would never start a brand that would do more harm then good. I use all second-hand materials to bring new life to previously loved pieces, and donate/reuse all scraps making Elá Studios an entirely circular business.

  • EXPANDING MY HORIZON

    Exploring the world around me is my top priority in life. I’ve been fortunate enough to take some incredible trips, and am always planning my next one. Seeing the endless possibilities this beautiful world has to offer is what inspires me to design!

  • NATURE IS MY PEACE

    My deep connect nature stems from being raised on a farm with wide open land where my curiosity ran free. Whenever I find myself unsure of my path, I know I can wander into nature to find my peace. There is no feeling that comes close to the feeling of being grounded in nature.

  • COLLECTING MY TROVE

    One of my favorite hobbies is browsing around thrift shops for unique pieces that are in need of a second chance. I love to explore my personal style, and finding treasures that I can transform is how I fell in love with design and discovered my brand.

  • BREATH AND MOVEMENT

    I practice yoga almost everyday, and in the last fews years, I began to teach classes. It has taught me patience, slowness, and gave me an opportunity to bond with some of my favorite people. Learning to breathe and focus my mind has changed my life.

  • MY SUPPORT SYSTEM <3

    My love and appreciate for the people around me never runs out. I love and am blessed to be loved so deeply by the people around me, and would not be where I am today without them. My friends and family are the most important aspect of my life and my love!
