Reconnecting with Nature
My deep fascination and connection to the outdoors stems from growing up on a farm just outside of Charlottesville, VA. The feeling of being surrounded by nature no matter the form never fails to make me feel safe, and free to be myself. I love to hike and be outdoors any chance that I get, so moving to the Richmond city took some adapting. This city still has so much access to nature which was part of the appeal, but going from open fields and dense woods to endless blocks of buildings took adjusting.
Being in nature makes me feel reconnected to my inner child. It feels healing, rejuvenating, and helps me feel grounded in myself. I feel like I found my sense of spiritually by connecting to nature, and allowing my energy to flow freely along with it.
I crave to explore the world around me and see the beautiful world that I am lucky enough to exist on. It has always been a goal of mine to go on a solo backpacking or camping trip because I feel like I would learn so much about the world, and myself. I know that no matter how I feel, or where am I in life that I can always rely on nature to help me find myself, and my direction.
